Well-known sights in Klagenfurt are the Lindwurmbrunnen and the monument to Hercules, the conqueror of the lindworm. The churches, castles and gates in the city are also worth a visit. Be sure to take a look at the markets in Klagenfurt where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and flowers.

Summer Toboggan Run

The summer toboggan run by Lake Ossiach is just 500 meters from the holiday park. Two parallel tracks invite you to toboggan along a length of 760 meters. Whether it's relaxed or action-packed, each rider decides for themselves: The single or double-seater sledges can be individually accelerated or braked using a control lever.

Thanks to a drag lift, where you are pulled up sitting on the sledge facing the valley on a drag track laid in the ground, you have a wonderful view of Lake Ossiach right from the start of the adventure.

As the toboggan runs are made of metal, operation is suspended when it rains. The summer toboggan run is open from mid-May to the beginning of September. Exact opening times can be found on the website.

Burg Landskron

The castle ruins of Landskron are located at an altitude of 660 meters and visiting them can be a nice outing for the whole family. In addition to the interesting history dating back to 1351, you will discover a gastronomic restaurant and a fun children's program with a puzzle rally. At castle ruins Landkron you can admire eagles during the impressive birds of prey show. The Affenberg, which is located next to the castle, is the largest open-air monkey enclosure in Austria with no fewer than 160 monkeys!

Ossiacher See Boat Trip

Just one kilometer from the holiday park is the Ossiacher See Boat Trip. The "ships of Oss" sail to up to 14 exciting excursion destinations during the season.

Since 2021, the family business has been committed to sustainability and only uses synthetic fuel to protect plants and animals in and around the lake. During the warm summer months, breakfast is served on the boat four days a week - a feast for the eyes and palate is guaranteed.

Gerlitzen Cable Cars

The Gerlitzen cable cars take hikers and winter sports enthusiasts in two stages up to the Gerlitzen Alpe at an altitude of 1,911 meters. In summer, family-friendly walks, circular hikes or challenging high-altitude climbs invite you to enjoy outdoor excursions. In winter, snowboarders and skiers get their money's worth thanks to 20 lifts and 32 varied ski runs. Various huts provide culinary delights and invite you to take a break.

Familywald climbing experience

The Ossiacher See "Familywald" climbing experience is located just 1.5 km from the holiday park. With more than 150 exercises, it is one of the largest adventure parks in Austria. As it is in the middle of a dense deciduous forest, it is an ideal destination even in rainy weather or on hot days.

The panoramic terraces not only offer unique views of Lake Ossiach, the Gerlitzen Alpe and the surrounding mountains, but also snacks and drinks. The climbing experience is closed in winter. Exact opening times can be found on the Familywald homepage.

Golf Courses

There are several golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the holiday park. One of them is the Moosburg Golf Club, just 14 km away. Just a stone's throw from Lake Wörthersee, you can play golf on an 18-hole or 9-hole course. Every day there are two green fees, which are provided free of charge to holiday guests at EuroParcs Ossiacher See.

To take advantage of this offer, a written reservation must be made in advance with EuroParcs. Other golf courses in the area include Golf Velden Wörthersee, the APOS Golf Academy and the Carinthian Golf Club Dellach.

Wildlife park

There are two animal parks in the immediate vicinity of EuroParcs Ossiacher See: Rosegg Animal Park invites you to take a walk around the Burgberg. More than 300 animals live on the approximately 30-hectare site, many of which roam freely within the grounds.

In the Feld am See Alpine Wildlife Park, 30 different species of wild animals are offered the most natural habitat possible in an 11-hectare outdoor enclosure. The Africa Adventure World, the Grizzly World, the Fish Museum and the petting zoo round off the overall experience.

Travel the world in just a few hours - made possible by Minimundus. Famous sights from more than 50 countries worldwide are shown here, their scale being 1:25 to the original size. 160 models in total have been handcrafted and give you the opportunity to travel from the Eiffel Tower to the Indonesian Borobudur Temple in just a few minutes. A 68 m long miner's slide leads into the interior of the mountain to a station from where you can access the two show mines:

In Terra Mystica, a 600 m long path leads to seven mystical mines, a multimedia show and a mine train. If you take the 2 km long mine train directly to the Terra Montana show mine, you can learn all about the miner's world of work in 14 stations. A mining museum will quench your thirst for knowledge.

Reptilienzoo Happ

Afraid of snakes? Then Reptile Zoo Happ in Klagenfurt is a real challenge! The park would like to break all prejudices against reptiles and especially snakes. In addition to 60 different species of snakes, lizards, turtles, and insects also live here. There is even a petting zoo with rabbits and guinea pigs. The zoo opens its doors every day, in the summer from 9am to 6pm and during the wintertime from 9am to 5pm. The reptile zoo is closed in November.
